Ares is a Darkus Dartaak, and Firestormblaze's secondary Darkus Guardian Bakugan.

Ares is an intricate double-strike Bakugan that acts with rapid strikes in battle. The speed of his attack takes opponents off guard and gives him every advantage. He is wily, cunning, and agile.

Ares is a very violent Bakugan, who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. He is a manefestation, of Blaze's anger, in the form of a Bakugan. He is manipulative, and has brains, almost as much as brawn. His only goal is to defeat any opponent in battle, and will not back down until it is done. When he's down for the count, he's very angry. He goes into a berserk rage, and tries to destroy his enemies outside of battle. That really ticks Blaze off, so he is rarely used.

Ares first appeared in the episode The Darkness Within, where he was created from Blaze's anger, and rage. He brawls against Joseph40's Bakugan, alongside Obsidian, and wins.

He appears again in the episode Demons and Dragons, where he is seen with the rest of Blaze's Bakugan.

In the episode Live Together, Die Apart when brawlers are mysteriously starting to disappear, after brawling Blaze and Ares, the two join up with Rayne, Airzel-of-Haos, and RayneHaos, of Attribute United. It later turns out that Ares is responsible for 'disposing' of the brawlers, by sending them to the Doom Dimension. After they're brought back to their homes, Blaze desides not to use Ares for a while.
